Its rules: organize around the goal, not the clique; keep dealings transparent, since hidden weapons in the thicket paralyze everyone for years; and value the distinct contributions order makes possible. Fellowship strong enough to cross the great water is built on daylight.
Inwardly, Tóng Rén asks where you belong and how honestly. Belonging built on hiding parts of yourself is the clan-fellowship its second line warns about. The practice is universality — connecting through what is genuinely shared and human, bringing your actual self into the open field where real meeting happens.
